Alberta Government Requirements

Effective June 1, 2011, all persons wishing to become a security professional in Alberta must successfully complete a 40-hour mandatory basic security training (ABST) program to qualify for a license. The training is mandatory and applies to the following classes of license:

Upon successful completion of the ONLINE Alberta Basic Security Training (ABST) course, you must meet all licensing requirements outlined by the Alberta Solicitor General and Ministry of Public Security. Your employer will require copy both of the front and back of your license when you begin employment. 

 
 
You are NOT permitted to work as a Security Professional
without a valid Security License.
