This version of WHMIS includes the recent GHS WHMIS revisions and the new HPR amendments that came into force on December 15, 2022, and is being phased in over a 3-year period.  This is a complete WHMIS Awareness level course; it includes up-to-date WHMIS testing and a WHMIS certificate is issued.

This WHMIS course consists of 5 modules. The first 4 modules focus on:

1. understanding what WHMIS is
2. how the WHMIS classification system works
3. how to read a WHMIS label
4. how to use a Safety Data Sheet

Module 5 includes information on the Consumer Chemical hazard classes and information employees need to aware of when products labelled under the Consumer labelling system are brought into the workplace.

This is a first step in WHMIS education and prepares you with the knowledge to better understand the more product specific and workplace specific training, including safe work procedures, provided by your employer as part of your on the job safety orientation and training. Learn more...
